The Fountain

Two strangers from different time periods become traveling companions when they find themselves lost in a giant labyrinth. While attempting to find a way out, they stumble upon a mysterious fountain being watched over by a stone guardian who promises them anything they desire…but for a price.

After a successful private stage reading as part of a night of one acts held at Playhouse 46 in New York City, The Fountain is made it’s theatrical debut as part of New York City Fringe.

Now, The Fountain makes its Off-Broadway debut as part of Playhouse 46’s Turn on the Lights Festival. Click below for tickets!

Larissa McCoy (Lady of the Fountain) is an actor, singer, and dancer. You may see her performing all over Brooklyn in all sorts of weirdo art spaces including being a resident performer at House of Yes. Larissa’s true passion is creating one of a kind immersive theatre and facilitating transformational experiences. Previous works include installations within expressive nightlife spaces, festivals, brand activations, private parties, technology art museums and more. From ideation to final performance and everything in between, she creates a mystical world and invites you to step over the threshold and participate in the narrative yourself. May we all find and create more unexpected magic in our world. We need it more than ever.

Hugo Salazar, Jr. (Diego) is thrilled to join this reading. Previous Theatre work includes the Off-Broadway play, Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh, directed by Tony Award Winner Robert Kalfin, Pieces of a Playwright, directed by TV & Broadway Veteran Albert Insinnia, and Troilus & Cressida, as Troilus, with The Hudson Shakespeare Company. Commercial work includes Principal work on the Emmy Award Winning commercial NYC GO, directed by Emmy Award Winner Jeff Pinilla. Further Principal commercial work for Dodge, NBC, ESPN, along with several supporting and day player roles on shows for Amazon Prime, The Investigation Discovery Network, and The Travel Channel. Spanish TV work includes Betty en NY (Telemundo) and Paraiso Travel (RCN Colombian Television). As a Director / Producer, Hugo’s recent Horror Film is making the Film Festival Rounds and is on its 14th Award. Jordan Grzybowski (William) is so pleased to be a part of this new work. Hooray for art! Previously seen as Tommy (Principal) in Safe Travels: a Jukebox jukebox musical from patrynize productions! Other Credits include Gabe in Next to Normal (Madkap Productions), Ensemble in Legally Blonde and featured dancer in Follies (Artistry Theatre), Ensemble in Sweet Smell of Success (Kokandy Productions) Big thanks to my family and Chris Davis, my fiancé, who inspires me every day to keep working towards my dreams.

Previous credits include: Blackout by Shann Smith (Stage Manager), Torn Asunder (Property Master), Lost in Yonkers (Assistant Stage Manager), Coriolanus (Stage Manager), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Stage Manager), Dracula (Wardrobe Supervisor), Host & Guest (Wardrobe Supervisor), Eurydice (Property Master & Deck Chief). Upcoming projects include stage managing a production of Godspell (2012) in Morristown, NJ. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with such an amazing cast and director!

Tony Patryn (Writer/Director/Producer) successfully ran a monthly showcase, The Campy Cabaret, for five years in the Upper West Side of NYC, writing, producing and directing the next generation of Broadway talent who would go on to star in Hadestown, Wicked, The Color Purple, Almost Famous, Bat Out of Hell, Americano!, and more. Before that he was a regular emcee at several different showcases and cabarets around New York and Chicago. Writer/creator of Safe Travels: a Jukebox jukebox musical. Creator and former board member of the Elmwood Park Community Theater (EPCT). OFF-BROADWAY: Mushnik / Ensemble in Drunk Musicals; Bruno in Truffles.
