When Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, and James Madison sit down to create the first ten amendments to the constitution they have absolutely no idea what the hell are they are doing. I mean, it’s not a big deal: Only creating the framework of laws that our country will hinge every major decision on for the foreseeable future. Through hilariously cutting and witty dialogue that explores the issues that faced our sweet little star spangled baby of a nation, these three founding fathers systematically take you on a ride through the development of our Bill of Rights, discussing always volatile topics such as the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, and the right to no illegal searches and seizures (among many others) with a sense of justice and righteousness only colonial Americans could come up with. The only trouble is… America didn’t remain Colonial America. This in depth look at the intense decision making process that went into making the first ten amendments shows that how no matter how far we THINK we’ve progressed, we still have no idea what the hell we’re doing.
